Interior Demo!

Today they started the demo on the master bath. Window and toilet are gone! Tomorrow they should have the shower and walls knocked out. So exciting to see the progress.

June 15th Progress Report

Happy Friday all! More progress this week at Leland. The huge beams went in today. Over a 1,000 pounds of wood. It's really starting to take shape. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and Father's Day.

Master Bath - Working Ideas

I've been a little worked up about my master bath! So many decisions to make. Here's one that was easy...my dressing table.

There is going to be a short hallway leading from our bedroom to the bathroom in our new space. It will have a 3 ft. dressing table and a linen/laundry closet. We are adding a stacked washer and dryer on the bedroom level - YIPEEE. Not the most glamourous place to have a dressing table, but I'll take it!

This is what my little space will look like with a few minor changes. 1) Sconces will be on the side walls 2) no mirror on the drawer. Everything else is basically the same!

I'm now on to this floor. I'm still sick about my dream floors, but I haven't had a chance to plant a money tree to finance them. I think these are simple and not to girly.

I'm also trying to figure out how to open up a window space between my shower and tub. I like that it's the same size as the windows, but I don't want it to look like a window. I have to figure that part out.

I like the marble around this tub. I'm not sure if I like this as well as the photo above...still working it out in my head. I may wallpaper the walls around the tub since I'm passing on a specialty tile. I just started my search tonight!

It's hard to see the mirrors/sconces in this photo, but this is what I think we are going to do over the vanity. I like the sconces on the mirror.

I reallylike these cabinets and hardware. I'm not sure if I'm doing white cabinets or going with a dark wood. I'm leaning towards white to keep it clean.

RB's Bath Tile Update

These are my latest selections for R's new bath. It will be a carrara hexagon marble on the floor and white subway on the walls. I'm doing a white ceramic baseboard and chair rail. Knowing me...I'll change my mind a few more times before installation!

Dream Master Floors - Out of Reach!

My dream floors will remain just that...a dream. At $203/sq. foot before shipping and tax I can only admire them from afar. As our architect says...with my taste and Woody's budget, I'm sure to be disappointed. :)

Framing Updates!

Hello all. Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. Progress is slow, but it's looking fantastic. We are super excited to see things coming together on our first floor remodel. Here are a few photos from Friday. Hopefully our second floor will be framed this week.

To the right is a new window and to the left is our new door. They will have to add steps at some point. The overhang is for our new master bath. The shower, tub and toilet will be located at the back of the bath.

This is the back of our new family room. To the left a window, center new fireplace and then two windows to the right. Not sure why the window on the right (closest to the fireplace) is boarded up. It will be the same as the left window.

This is the side over the garage facing the street. There will be three large windows and a small window to the left.
